Iz & Liv Films • Wedding Photographer and Videographer in Sanford, Florida

HI THERE!  THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO VISIT OUR WEBSITE.

My name is Ashley, and my husband and I are the owners of Iz and Liv Films. We are a Wedding Photographer and Videographer team in Orlando, FL, with a real passion for intimate weddings and elopements. I specialize in and take care of the wedding photography side of things, and I have five years of experience in capturing weddings. While Manny has a passion for making memories come to life in his wedding highlight films. He has this special talent for capturing and putting together the special moments of your wedding day (big and small) in a way that will bring tears to your eyes over and over again!

Between Manny and I, we’ve photographed or filmed close to 100 weddings, almost all of them in Orlando, Sanford, and surrounding areas! As we’ve captured weddings in areas surrounding Orlando, we’ve slowly fallen in love with the Sanford area, specifically Historic Sanford. Having captured weddings at Wilson Landing Park, The Center at Deltona, Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall, and having spent many afternoons and evenings walking the town, taking food tours, and relaxing, we know the area well and love to shoot there! We even had our daughter in Sanford, FL. Talk about having roots there!

We love capturing moments of YOUR love in a way that's uniquely yours and would love to set up a time to talk about your big day to see if we’d be a good fit for each other! We also enjoy making recommendations for venues and vendors or even helping you find a cool place to go here in Central Florida, so please don’t hesitate to fill out the contact form below, and we’ll be in touch within 24-48 hours.

Location Ideas

One thing I love about Sanford is how diverse the scenery is there. You have beautiful parks and wooded areas, you have Lake Monroe basically running along one whole border of Sanford, and there’s Historic Sanford which is the downtown area that’s so rich in culture. There’s SO MANY different options to take wedding photos, and there’s a scene for pretty much anything. Historic Sanford has this unique mixture of rustic yet urban vibe that changes based on when you decide to have your photoshoot. It can be empty streets or quiet alleyways, and it makes you feel like you’re in a cool abandoned town with red brick everywhere. Or it can be more of a night out in your small hometown kind of feel, with an awesome hole-in-the-wall, unique bars to go to, and even a *speakeasy* if you know where to look. Both scenarios provide a completely different feel for your photoshoot, but both are unique and fun.

While Oviedo obviously isn’t in Sanford, it is about halfway between Orlando and Sanford, and one of our hands-down favorite places to shoot is at Barr Street Trailhead. We were introduced to this location by a very kind, generous, and talented friend, Kristin, and we are OBSESSED. Our favorite area to shoot in at this location is just the wide-open field. However, there are beautiful shaded trails we can walk along, a huge oak tree with hanging moss, AND tall grasses if they haven’t been mowed in a while. We’ve done family shoots, anniversary shoots, and our daughter's mini-photoshoots here, and we just love it.

Our absolute favorite location, hands down, though, in Sanford, has got to be Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall. This venue isn’t just for weddings, you can have your engagement session there, you can have showers there, parties. This building is an old schoolhouse, and the team there has done a beautiful job of restoring the inside to keep its historic schoolhouse charm while also making it the ideal location for a photoshoot. White walls are a dream for wedding photographers (if you’ve ever been in a location with pink walls, you know what I’m talking about lol), and the grounds are so beautiful there with so many cute “hidden” corners for intimate photos.

Coffee, Food, and Drinks Recommendations

Coffee is a staple in our diet, and a delicious breakfast is always a hit in our book. For that, you should definitely check out Colonial Room in downtown Sanford. They provide Comfort Cooking in the heart of Sanford, how can you go wrong with that? You can’t!

We’ve noticed coffee isn’t THE thing in downtown Sanford though. The thing is food, drinks and having a good time! For the best soul food of your life, you have got to go to Shantell’s Cafe, their fried chicken and mac and cheese was one of my favorite things I ate the entire time I was pregnant!

Another big hit is Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe. For those of you who didn’t know, I (Ashley) used to work at a German bakery and fell in love with a lot of German cuisine, and Manny loves pretty much all food, so it’s not wonder that Hollerbach’s is a big hit in our book! We have yet to try it, but the next time we get a chance, they have a tradition at the restaurant that involves, beer in a boot and the whole restaurant shouting. Yeah… lots of fun!

The final food and drinks place I’ll mention is Celery City Craft. They have an AWESOME open yard/garden out back, with picnic benches, a stage, a food trailer, and welcome everyone! We love to bring our pup here, choose from a huge selection of craft beers and handcrafted cocktails, YUM! And they have weekly events ranging from Bingo + Trivia, to Open Mic Night, to Live Music every weekend, this is the place to be for a good relaxing time!

Our Favorite Sanford Venues:

We haven’t captured weddings at a lot of locations in Sanford, YET. So if you don’t see your wedding venue on this list, we’d love to be considered to capture your special day! If you’ve read the rest of this page, you’ll see that we love Sanford, and would be honored to work at any one of the wedding venues sanford has to offer.

Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall - This venue is a photographers DREAM. And most brides dream too. It’s a turn of the century school house, that’s been restored with a sophisticated balance between vintage elegance and modern sophistication. It’s got a very “blank” color scheme, lots of white, original hard wood floors, and monochromatic colors with beautiful wood accents, which allows you a huge variety in decorations and colors, and this place is HUGE! I mean, every this very spacious, even with Dylan and Aly’s wedding party of 6, plus hair and makeup, plus moms, and 2 photographers and a videographer, we never once felt cramped when taking the getting ready photos. This is a dream venue, and we HIGHLY recommend it for your wedding!

Venue 520 On The Water - This is a Wedding and Events venue located on the water of Lake Monroe in the Historic District of Sanford, FL. They offer a stunning view that makes for the most picturesque, built in backdrop for any wedding. We especially loved the warmth, and relaxed atmosphere that this venue provided. We absolutely loved working here, and can’t wait to go back!
