I was so excited to shoot Kelvin and Brenda’s wedding day. We had been able to do their Engagement photos when our daughter was only a few weeks old (she came along with us!), so being able to capture their wedding just a few short months after that was so cool! For their engagement photos, they had mentioned to us that they wanted to do something unique, and different, so at the end of their shoot, we got into the water at the springs to get some really cool water shots! Because we got along so well, and they were up for anything, we knew that it was going to be a great day! I (Ashley) started off with the girls, while Manny went to hang out with the guys while they got ready. At Brenda’s parent's home, there was lots of family, close friends helping her get ready, and everything was smooth sailing and on time. As you can tell from the guys getting ready photos, Kelvin was having a fantastic morning with his dad and his brother, hanging out and relaxing before his big moment. After a sweet ceremony, with the most adorable ring bearer, everyone was off to Maison & Jardin for cocktail hour, formal photos, and the reception. Maison & Jardin is a gorgeous venue hidden in Altamonte Springs, with a beautiful outdoor garden area for photos, another lovely outdoor area for cocktail hour, a bar indoors, and a uniquely designed reception area. Happy hour included a special Mr & Mrs Corn Hole Set, ring toss, drinks, a snack bar, and an awesome Mariachi band. Kelvin and Brenda chose the perfect spot for their reception!
They also wanted to do something a little different at the end of their couples photos. Smoke bombs! Staying true to their brightly colored wedding, they chose pink and blue smoke bombs, and everyone had a fantastic time getting those shots! Unfortunately, we think one of the smoke bombs was defective somehow, which caused it to explode, but that did not put a damper on the day at all! We went inside, helped Brenda clean up and touch up her makeup, and the reception begun.
The reception was set up beautifully, the staff for Maison & Jardin did an amazing job! The whole night, there was laughter, dancing, joy, and a super fun sparklers send off! Scroll to the end to see the water photos from their engagement shoot!
