Charles and Ashly’s Wedding day was full of not so subtle nods to superheroes, Star Wars, and Disney. The couples three favorite things, besides their family. Their wedding was completely planned out by Ashly, and boy did she do a great job, when we first met in person for their consultation, she whipped out a huge binder! The organized/structured part of me got SOO excited! But the main reason she was so organized? She wanted to have fun on her wedding day! The day started off with me (Ashley) with Ashly and her girls, while Manny was with Charles and the guys. Ashly was getting ready at the venue (Orange Park Woman’s Club), in her dinosaur romper, and her hair and makeup was stunning! Before getting everyone dressed, I was able to get pictures of the dresses, and all the details! All the rose gold things😍 Rose gold jewelry, rose gold belt, matching rose gold shoes, a purse! You name it, she had it.
Manny was with the guys while they were getting ready, Charles’ two adorable sons were hands on in the process, and his new sons joked and laughed with him which helped shake off the nerves. You could tell that married or not, they were already a family.
When the guys were finished getting ready, they arrived to the venue for the first look, couples photos, wedding party and family formals!
Because they were blending families, they wanted something special that was going to involve all of their children not only in the wedding, but also something that was going to serve as a physical reminder that after their wedding, they were bound as one united family. The ceremony was beautiful, tears were shed, and there was a beautiful physical reminder of the two families uniting into one, a heart with 6 pieces, which were put into place during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the Star Wars lovers had an epic introduction into the reception with a line of lightsabers, a sweet first dance, dinners, toasts, an insanely amount of fun dancing, and an extra epic glow sticks exit!
