Top 3 Alternatives To An End Of Night Sparklers At Wedding Exit

End of the night exits are fun, and a really great option especially if your reception is not going super late.  However, if you’re having a long reception, if you’re having an open bar, or if you don’t want to pay to have your wedding photographer stay until the very end of the reception, think about doing one of these alternatives instead!

1. A Mock Exit

A mock exit is going to be an awesome option for two things, 1) if you’re having an open bar, and 2) if you’d like to save some money.  Let me explain!

First, if you’re having an open bar, your guests are more than likely to take advantage of that, and trying to corral dozens of people at the end of the night who’ve been drinking all night can get very difficult.  Not to mention, intoxicated guests, expensive wedding dress, and fire-y sparklers don’t always mix very well.

Second, weddings can get expensive, and if you want your photo/video team to stay to the very end, you might have to add on a couple hours.

With a mock exit, you can still get those wedding photos and video you dream of!

2. A Bubble Exit

So you’ve got the venue of your dreams, and when you go to ask them about having a sparkler exit, they tell you the bad news: No Sparklers!  What do you do??  Bubbles can be a gorgeous way to have your dreamy exit after a beautiful wedding day!

I’ll let you in on a little secret though, after witnessing tons of bubble exits, we’ve found the perfect mixture of things for the best photo and video outcomes.  The little customized vials of bubble are perfect for pictures, but often don’t provide enough bubbles to show up in the photos too well.

Here’s the secret: Have one to two automatic bubble machines that we can place out of the way that will supply enough bubbles to fill the camera frame and give you those dreamy bubble exit photos.

3. Sparklers During Your First Dance

Now, while this won’t be an option for everyone, I absolutely LOVE when the bride and groom choose to have sparklers lit during their first dance.  This is an option for outdoor receptions only, but here’s what happens.

The wedding planner, or day of coordinator, passes out the sparklers to all the guests.  Then your DJ makes the announcement that you’re going to begin your first dance as husband and wife, and invites the bridal party/wedding party and everyone to circle around you on the dance floor.

The sparklers are lit, and you have your first dance with your family and friends surrounding you, and the most magical first dance photos you could dream of!

Maybe having your special exit at the end of the night is perfect for you and your wedding day, and maybe one of the above-mentioned options might be better for you!  Talking with your photo/video team will help you to make the best decision for your needs.
